There is something so comforting about this meal. Maybe it’s the combination of ham, potatoes and green beans. Maybe it’s the way it slowly cooks in the crockpot making the whole house smell delicious. Or maybe it’s how the potatoes just melt in your mouth. Even better, maybe it’s a combination of all these things! I just know that when I make this Ham, Potato & Green Bean Crockpot Meal it not only tastes great but also warms my soul. As an added bonus, it doesn’t take much effort to make this dish!

Ingredients:

  • Ham
  • Yukon gold potatoes
  • Green beans
  • Sweet onion
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Chicken broth
  • Coconut aminos

What Cut of Ham to Use in this Recipe?

When making this recipe, I tend to buy ham steak because it can be easily cubed and thrown in the crockpot. However, you can use any cut of ham in this recipe. This would be a great meal to make after Easter dinner if you have leftover ham!

Steps to Make Ham, Potato & Green Bean Crockpot Meal

Step One: Potatoes

Rinse the potatoes with water and pat dry. Cut the potatoes into cube sized pieces and place in the bottom of the crockpot.

Step Two: Onions

Next, dice the onions and layer them on top of the potatoes in the crockpot.

Step Three: Ham

Cut the ham into cube sized pieces and layer over top of the potatoes and onions.

Step Four: Green beans

Cut the green beans and place them in the crockpot. This is an optional step, but I prefer the green beans to be smaller.

Step Five: Add the rest of the ingredients

Sprinkle the salt, pepper, and garlic powder over the green beans. Add the chicken broth and coconut aminos to the crockpot. Cook on low for 4 hours.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups cubed ham (*see note below)

  • 4 cups cubed Yukon gold potatoes

  • 4 cups green beans

  • 1/2 medium sweet onion (about 1 cup diced)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 2 Tablespoons coconut aminos

Directions
