Easy Baked Green Beans

These Easy Baked Green Beans are so simple to make it almost shouldn’t even be considered a recipe. But who is going to complain about a quick and easy way to step up your vegetable game? Not me! This recipe gives you crisp and tender green beans that will complete just about any meal. This recipe is gluten free, grain free, dairy free, egg free, nut free, and sugar free.

I am a big fan of vegetables, but they have to be cooked the right way to truly enjoy them. For so long, Mike and I ate the microwavable frozen bags of vegetables. There is nothing wrong with this option but when it comes to taste it gets boring. The easiest way to upgrade any vegetable is to add some olive oil and spices and bake it in the oven.

These Easy Baked Green Beans add a little excitement and a whole lot of flavor to any dish. We tested this recipe many times and the green beans come out tender, crisp, and flavorful every time. We enjoy this recipe so much that we make it at least once a week. Bella, our dog, also likes when this recipe is on the menu because she usually gets to munch on a raw green bean.

I’ve been writing about how delicious this Easy Baked Green Bean recipe is, but forgot to mention how simple it is. All you have to do is toss the ingredients together and throw it in the oven. Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Then place the green beans, extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix together until the green beans are thoroughly coated. I toss it all together with my hands to make sure no green bean is left behind.

Place the green beans on a baking sheet and sprinkle additional salt and pepper if needed. Put the green beans in the oven and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. You will be able to tell when they are done when they start to look crispy. Like I said, this recipe is so simple but it is such a game changer. Gone are the days of trying to feed your green beans to your dog while your mom isn’t looking (or in my case, hiding them in my napkin). Before I let you go make this recipe, I want to make a note about the type of salt I use. We often hear that we need to be cautious of how much salt we consume. This is because regular table salt has been stripped of its beneficial minerals leaving only sodium and chloride which can be harmful to the body. The problem with avoiding salt is that our bodies need it to function at optimal levels.

It’s all about getting the right type of salt. That’s why I use Celtic Sea Salt in all my recipes. Celtic Sea Salt is unrefined and still contains essential minerals that are beneficial to our health. Some of these benefits include balancing electrolytes, regulating blood pressure, alkalizing the body, replenishing the body’s trace minerals, and keeping the body hydrated. I made the switch for my health but honestly think it tastes better than the processed table salt. I buy mine at Vitacost because I can get a whole bag for a reasonable price. As always, this is my personal experience and I would encourage you to do your own research to determine what is best for you and your body.
