How to make crispy carrot fries in the air fryer
There are many air fryer options out there. These directions are based on the air fryer I use, which is the Instant Pot Air Fryer Lid. If you are using another type of air fryer, just follow the steps based on your specific settings.
Step One: Wash, peel and cut the carrots. To cut the carrots into wedges, start by cutting each carrot lengthwise. Next, cut them in half so that you have four slices of carrots. Then take each slice and make wedges out of them by cutting them in half again. Place them into a bowl with the salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil and toss until thoroughly combined.
Step Two: Place the carrots in a single layer in the air fryer. Select the air fryer setting and set the temperature to 400 degrees. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stopping half way to flip the carrots.
Instructions for making these fries in the oven
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Follow step one above to prepare the carrot fries for baking. Place the carrot fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Place in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping the carrots after 15 minutes.
